Two Alaska women part of unbeaten Boston Pride of NWHL

Anchorage’s Zoe Hickel assisted on a second-period goal that helped the Boston Pride beat the Connecticut Whale 4-0.

With the win, Boston improved to 9-0 in the National Women’s Hockey League.

It was the fifth assist and sixth point of the season for Hickel, of South High fame.

Two weeks ago, against Connecticut, the forward registered her first two-assist game.

The Pride are the defending Isobel Cup champions in the inaugural season of the NWHL.

Boston features another Alaskan in Jordan Smelker of Anchorage.

Both players won the Cup last year.

Smelker, of Service High fame, owns 2-3—5 totals this season.
