Who holds the Pac-12 record for field-goal percentage?

The answer could be Ruthy Hebard of Fairbanks.

The freshman with the University of Oregon women’s basketball team lifted her season percentage to .649, which is on pace to break the conference record of .645 set in 2007 by Judie Lomax of Oregon State.

Hebard, of West Valley High fame, is also on pace to shatter the school record of .614 set in 1981 by Debbie Adams.

Hebard has sank 163-of-251 field goals with two regular-season games before the Pac-12 Championships and NCAA Tournament.

The 6-foot-4 forward leads Oregon and ranks ninth in the Pac-12 with 14.9 points and fifth with 8.6 rebounds in 27 games.

Over the last 12 seasons of Ducks basketball, Hebard’s 418 points are the sixth highest and her 240 rebounds are seventh.

She’s just the sixth player in school history to shoot above 60 percent in a season, the first since 1993.
