Anchorage’s Desmond Johnson is doing his best Russell Westbrook impersonation in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

The dynamic sophomore point guard is a triple-double threat every game with South Mountain.

Johnson, of East High fame, is averaging 19.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 9.0 rebounds in 14 games.

He’s been even better over the last five games with 25/9.2/9.8 averages.

The 5-foot-10 playmaker is also snagging 3.1 steals, including five in one game.

In last year’s league playoffs, he recorded a rare quadruple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals.

This season Johnson owns two triple-doubles in 14 games. He has racked up six double-figure assist games and four double-figure rebound games. He’s reached double digit in points in all 14 games, highlighted by a season-high 29.
