Palmer’s Connor Looney made sure his last home game at Hawaii Pacific University ended on a high note.

He nearly single-handedly led the nationally ranked Sharks to a 76-66 victory over a strong Dixie State team in a battle of Pac West powers on Senior Night in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The 6-foot-2 guard registered a team-high 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals against an 18-win Dixie State squad.

Looney, of Palmer High fame, is one of two seniors to play all four years at the NCAA D2 school on Oahu.

Hawaii Pacific [25-2] is ranked eighth in the country and leads the Pac West Conference at 17-2.

Looney ranks fifth in the conference in scoring [17.2], second in steals [2.3], sixth in field-goal percentage [.492], fourth in free-throw percentage [.843] and eighth in 3-pointers [2.3] per game.
