Eagle River’s Corey Cogdell-Unrein came up clutch again with the pressure on, scoring the second-highest point total in the find round to help Team USA win a gold medal in Moscow, Russia.

The 30-year-old shotgun shooter has a reputation for hitting the mark when it matters most over her 10-year career, and things were no different at the ISSF Shotgun World Championships.

Cogdell-Unrein went 24-for-25 in the third round to help Team USA come from behind and tie Finland and Italy with 203 points, thus forcing a tiebreaker to determine the medals.

Her third-round score was the second-highest point total among the 45 women in the competition and made a gold medal possible.

It was at least the fifth time she’s medaled in a major competition after hitting her final target, including twice in the Olympics.
