Fa’amasino racks up 12 tackles, forced fumble in SEC country

Anchorage’s Lui Fa’amasino played a college football game in front of a crowd big enough to be Alaska’s second-largest city.
The New Mexico State starting linebacker traveled to SEC country to face Arkansas before of an announced crowd of 70,727 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Fa’amasino, of West High fame, didn’t wilt under the bright lights as he registered 12 tackles and forced his first fumble in a 42-24 defeat.
The 6-foot, 230-pounder had six solo tackles, including a tackle for loss, to go with six assisted tackles.
He ranks third on New Mexico State with 43 tackles on the season, including tied for second with 19 solo tackles.
Fa’amasino also has 3.5 tackles for loss and a half sack.
