Oleson leaves Barcelona but stays in Spain with UCAM Murcia

Brad Oleson
The veteran 6-foot-3 guard has left perennial power Barcelona and signed a two-year deal with Club Baloncesto Murcia, otherwise known as UCAM Murcia.
Even at 34, Oleson is still considered one of the best shooters in the league.
With Barcelona, the former UAF star was a career 43 percent shooter from 3-point range and won league championships in 2012 and 2014. He also helped the team win the Euroleague in 2014.
Oleson, of North Pole High fame, also played in 93 of 150 career games in the Euroleague in a Barcelona uniform.
He’s joining a UCAM Murcia team with a much different tradition. The team has bounced back and forth between Spain’s premier league and second division.
Oleson provides his new team with an immediate playmaker, a guy that can score and defend the perimeter almost as well as anybody in the league.
This will be the Alaskan’s 14th professional season – the 13th in Spain.
