This season hasn’t exactly been a thing of beauty for Dubuque University quarterback Conor Feckley of Anchorage, but he looked good today against Nebraska Wesleyan.

The senior signal caller threw two key touchdowns in the second quarter to help the Spartans pull away in a 42-27 win during NCAA D3 action in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Dubuque and served as a measure of redemption for Feckley, who was bench a few weeks ago.

With the score tied at 14-14 after the first quarter, he tossed scoring strikes of 29 and 81 yards to give Dubuque a 28-14 lead at halftime.

Feckley, of West High fame, orchestrated scoring drives of 78 and 76 yards in the second half.

He finished with 200 yards on just 7-of-20 passing.

Feckley has thrown for 1,052 yards and 10 TDs – a far cry from last year when he finished third nationally with 37 TDs and 14th with 3,129 yards.
