Clair DeGeorge of Anchorage has been an instant hit with Bemidji State women’s hockey team.

The freshman forward leads the team in scoring after six games and has garnered at least one point in each of the first three series of the season.

DeGeorge played especially well in the second game of last weekend’s home series with nationally ranked Minnesota.

The 5-foot-10 winger assisted on the tying goal in the second and third periods to help push the game to overtime, where the Golden Gophers escaped with a 5-4 win.

DeGeorge has one goal and four assists in six games with Bemidji State.

She leads the team in points and assists, and is tied for second with 12 shots.

One of her teammates is Anchorage’s Bailey Wright.
