Ketchikan’s Courtney Kemble helped Centralia control the battle of the boards and deny second-chance opportunities in a 60-45 victory over Portland in Longview, Washington.

The 6-foot freshman grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds to give her team a 43-36 edge.

She even had more boards than her teammate Kylie Smith, who ranks third in the NWAC with more than 11 per game.

Kemble’s big game helped Centralia advance to the semifinals of the Red Devil Classic.

The Alaskan added six points on a pair of 3-pointers.

Kemble, of Ketchikan High fame, ranks third on Centralia in scoring [9.8] and rebounding [6.0] in 10 games.

She has reached double digits seven times and owns one double-double – a 13-point, 10-rebound effort against Clark.
