Anchorage’s Tanner Sorenson is like the American ambassador of hockey in Kazakhstan.

The 24-year-old center with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk is the top scoring U.S. national and one of the top snipers in the Supreme Hockey League.

Sorenson has compiled 12-10—22 totals in 28 games and ranks fifth in the league with a +14 plus/minus rating.

The former Michigan State skater is top 10 in goals and penalty minutes [64], and top 20 in points per game [0.79].

Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk sits 12th in the 27-team league with 54 points, just six points out of the top 5.

No other Torpedo player ranks in the top 30 in points, meaning Sorenson is single-handedly responsible for keeping the team in the playoff hunt.
