With his career winding down, Anchorage’s Jack Hobbs has ramped it up.

The Hartford senior continued his strong play of late, this time scoring 18 points to help the Hawks beat UMass Lowell 77-70 in Massachusetts.

Hobbs made a career-best seven field goals and matched his career-high point total. He made four 3-pointers for the second time in three games.

This was the most points he’s scored since the 18 he pumped in against Sacred Heart in December 2016. That night he went 6-of-9 from downtown.

Hobbs, of South High fame, was coming off a 14-point performance in an 86-68 win at Maine.

Hartford has been especially tough on the road this year, which includes a victory at Rutgers.

Hobbs is averaging 12.3 points over his last three games and 4.7 in 22 games.

Hartford is 12-10 on the season – 3-1 when Hobbs reaches double figures.
