Millen caps sensational season at NCAA D3 Frozen Four

Anchorage’s Mackenzie Millen capped a career-best season for the Plattsburgh Cardinals with a strong performance at the NCAA D3 Women’s Hockey Championships.

The junior forward had four points in three tournament games, including a pair of helpers in a 5-4 loss to Hamline in the third-place game in Northfield, Vermont.

Millen, of South High fame, finished the season with a five-game points streak to punctuate a breakout performance this season that saw her post career highs with 9 goals, 16 assists and 35 assists in 29 games.

She now owns 19-35—54 totals in 81 career games with Plattsburgh.

The Cardinals finished the season 24-4-2 and Millen is the second-leading scorer coming back next season.
