Maine goaltender Jeremy Swayman of Anchorage continued his mastery over New Hampshire when it mattered most, backstopping a pair of wins in the Hockey East first-round playoff series to highlight a Black Bears’ sweep.

The freshman netminder turned aside 53-of-56 shots as Maine won the two games by a combined 7-3 score and advanced to this weekend’s quarterfinal series with Providence.

Swayman was unbeaten in five starts against New Hampshire with a 3-0-2 record.

He has been in net for 15 of Maine’s 18 victories this season.
