The Ruthy Hebard Show is going international.

The NCAA record holder and All-Pac-12 basketball star from Fairbanks has played to rave reviews with the University of Oregon.

Now the three-time Alaska Gatorade State Player of the Year will represent the Team USA at this week’s FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Manila, Philippines.

Hebard, of West Valley High fame, will be joined on the national team by Oregon teammates by Sabrina Ionescu, Erin Boley and Otiona Gildon.

The four Ducks won the USA Basketball 3×3 national championship in April after an 8-0 showing. Hebard was also part of the Oregon team that finished second last year.

Hebard already owns two international medals in the traditional 5×5 game after helping Team USA win a silver at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup and gold at the 2016 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.

Last season as a sophomore at Oregon, Hebard made 33 consecutive field goals to set the NCAA record for men and women. Her streak spanned 11 quarters and two overtimes and featured back-to-back 12-for-12 shooting performances in conference play.

At the FIBA 3×3 World Cup, she will play for a Team USA squad with a tradition for excellence. The Americans own a 23-2 all-time record and won bronze in 2016 and gold in 2014 and 2012.
