Huffman sees to it that Tar Heels win big behind 20/20 effort

The University of North Carolina sophomore from Anchorage delivered a 20/20 performance in a 130-45 exhibition win over the StarSports Basketball Club in Nassau, Bahamas.

Huffman, of West High fame, pumped in 16 of his 20 points in the second half to go with his 20 rebounds.

The 6-foot-10 forward is expected to play a larger role for the Tar Heels this season.

Last year he saw action in 29 of the team’s 37 games, collecting a total of 47 points and 41 rebounds.

He scored a season-high nine points against Tulane and grabbed a season-high eight rebounds against Western Carolina.

Huffman is the first Alaskan to play basketball for North Carolina since Palmer’s C.J. Hooker from 2003 to 2005.
