Shortridge reaches 1,000 career saves as Quinnipiac goaltender

Eagle River’s Andrew Shortridge turned aside 22 shots in a 4-1 win over American International College in his first start of the season for the Quinnipiac University hockey team.
The junior goaltender reached a major milestone with his 1,000th career save.
Shortridge improved to 24-17-2 with a 2.16 goals against average and .915 save percentage in 48 career games. He has 1,007 saves.
