Three-point bomber Trevor Osborne of Anchorage this season has been on target like never before for the Whitman College men’s basketball team.

The 6-foot-2 junior marksman has twice knocked down four 3-pointers in a game and is shooting 14-of-26 overall in five games.

He’s on a personal-best pace and ranks seventh in the NCAA D3 Northwest Conference in total 3-pointers (14) and 3-point percentage (.538).

Osborne, of Grace Christian High fame, came into the season with a .415 career percentage from downtown in 49 games.

After just five games this year, he’s already bumped that career number 13 points to .438.

In his team’s recent 112-109 double OT loss to Pomona-Pitzer, Osborne came off the bench to log 26 minutes and make 4-of-6 3s.

His final triple tied the game at 103-103 in the second overtime.

In two-plus seasons with the Blues, Osborne has made 104-of-243 3-pointers.
