Novelli, Mongoyak both score double figures for Spokane CC
Alexia Novelli
Wasilla’s Alexia Novelli and Barrow’s Rose Mongoyak had no trouble finding their rhythm coming off the bench for Spokane Community College in a 78-49 women’s basketball win over Gonzaga University’s club team.
Both NWAC players scored double figures and nearly averaged a point per minute.
Novelli, of Colony High fame, pumped in 11 points in 10 minutes and added six rebounds and one assist.
She is a 5-foot-11 freshman forward.
Rose Mongoyak
Mongoyak, of Barrow High fame, collected 10 points in 14 minutes and added four rebounds and two assists.
She is a 6-foot sophomore post.
Mongoyak – the 2017 AABC Class 3A Player of the Year – reached double figures 13 times in 22 games last year, including a career-high 35 points against Big Bend.
