Hickel extends 5-game points streak, named all-star in Canada

Zoe Hickel
Days after being selected to the CWHL All-Star Game, Zoe Hickel of Anchorage earned points in both weekend games for the Calgary Inferno to match her season-high five-game points streak.
The 26-year-old forward scored in Game 1 and added a pair of assists in Game 2 as the league-leading Inferno swept a series against the Markham Thunder in Calgary, Alberta.
Hickel, of Service High fame, has registered at least one point in five consecutive games for the second time this season.
With 4-11—15 totals in 13 games she is tied for fifth in the CWHL in points and tied for second in assists.
Earlier in the week Hickel was named an all-star for the first time in her two-year CWHL career. Last year the league didn’t have an all-star game because of the Olympics, but Hickel probably would have picked.
Playing for Kunlun Red Star, she was among the league’s top five scorers and notched 12-26—38 totals in 28 games.
Before coming to the CWHL, Hickel played in the NWHL for the Connecticut Whale and Boston Pride.
