Palmer’s Jeremy Johnson was part of the U.S. National Team that captured a bronze medal at the FIFG Footgolf World Cup in Marrakesh, Morocco.
“It was an awesome experience,” he told me.
The 44-year-old longtime Alaska soccer star was part of Team USA victories over Portugal, Argentina and Spain.
“I played really well in the team rounds,” he said.
His individual matches were a different story.
“I didn’t play all that well in the individual rounds finishing 180th or something like that out of 400-plus players,” Johnson said. “The team event acts just like a Ryder Cup competition. We play seven different matches against another country. I play very well when I’m in a team setting.”
