Shortridge moves to 6-0, extends scoreless streak to 125 minutes

Eagle River’s Andrew Shortridge posted his second consecutive shutout and extended his scoreless streak to 125 minutes for Quinnipiac University in a 4-0 win over No. 1 Massachusetts in college hockey.
The junior goalie lowered his career-best 0.80 goals against average and raised his career-best .966 save percentage, handing UMass its first loss in 10 games.
Shortridge made 32 saves and robbed the Minutemen of at least two goals.

“He was excellent and made some big saves, I think a couple of times we had empty nets and we just missed the net,” coach Greg Carvel told masslive.com. “Their goaltender definitely outdueled us tonight.”
The 6-foot-4 netminder is 6-0 this season to raise his career record to 30-19-2. He owns nine shutouts.
