Emma Wuthrich
Boston University forward Emma Wuthrich of Anchorage closed the first half of her first college hockey season with a piece of an NCAA record.
The 5-foot-8 freshman assisted on the final power-play goal in an 8-0 win over RIT as BU went 6-for-9 with the extra attacker, matching an NCAA record for most power-play goals in a game.
The Terriers became the first team to score six times on the power play in a single game since Dartmouth on Jan. 30, 2009.
Wuthrich has been on a tear in the last five games as she has registered three points and won 42 faceoffs to help BU go 5-0.
After going scoreless in her first 11 games, she has come alive with a goal and two assists.
Wuthrich ranks fifth on the team with 33 shots on goal and fourth with 53 faceoffs won.
