Anchorage’s Zoe Hickel started her week by scoring in the CWHL All-Star Game and ended it by being named to the USA Women’s National Team roster for the 2019 Rivalry Series with Canada.

The 26-year-old was one of 13 forwards named to the team that will participate in a three-game series Feb. 12 and 14 in Ontario and Feb. 17 in Michigan.

Hickel, of Service High fame, is a two-time all-star in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League.

The Calgary Inferno forward this season ranks 16th in the league in scoring with 5-13—18 totals in 18 games.

Hickel was especially hot before the all-star break, racking up 5-5-10 totals in 10 games and having a four-game goals streak at one point.

Then she scored in the CWHL All-Star Game. Playing for Team Purple, she found the net in the third period of an 8-4 loss to Team Gold.
