Kimber wins Bearcat Open, helps McKendree win NWAC Duals

Sitka’s Sydnee Kimber won three consecutive women’s wrestling matches to win her weight class at the Bearcat Open in Lebanon, Illinois.
The McKendree University freshman posted a 10-6 decision in the championship match of the 170-pound division. She won the day before in a dual meet to give her 4-0 showing on the weekend.
Kimber, of Mt. Edgecumbe High fame, helped McKendree make school history earlier this season when the Bearcats won the NWCA National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky, for the first time.
McKendree is ranked No. 1 among NCAA D2 teams this season.
