Swayman stops career-high 53 shots in win over No. 2 UMass
University of Maine goalie Jeremy Swayman of Anchorage made a career-high 53 saves, including a penalty shot, to lead the unranked Black Bears to a 4-3 upset of No. 2 Massachusetts in Orono, Maine.
The sophomore bettered his previous career high of 50 saves set in 2017 against Quinnipiac.
Swayman made a total of 91 saves on the weekend to help Maine earn a series split.
The Boston Bruins draft pick has a 9-12-3 record in 24 appearances with a 2.99 goals-against average and .914 save percentage.
