Juneau’s Erik Kelly put in work in the second half for Peninsula College in a 68-65 victory over Olympic in the NWAC.

The freshman scored 12 of his 14 points and grabbed eight of his 12 rebounds down the stretch to add up to his third double-double in 23 games this season.

Kelly, of Juneau-Douglas High fame, pumped in six straight points at the six-minute mark to help his team snap a nearly 3-minute scoreless stretch.

Earlier in the second half, the 6-foot-5 forward had a monster jam when he flew in for an offensive rebound and flushed a two-handed slam in traffic.

The official scorekeeper credited another player for the bucket, but you can clearly see in this video it’s Kelly, who wears jersey No. 14.

Peninsula College is 5-0 when Kelly rebounds in double figures. His season high is 17.

He leads his team with 7.4 rebounds per game and ranks 25th in the NWAC.
