Shortridge leads NCAA in save percentage, goals-against average

Andrew Shortridge of Eagle River made 25 saves between the pipes as No. 5 Quinnipiac University beat No. 10 Clarkson 4-2 in Potsdam, New York.
The junior netminder has posted an 11-2-1 record in 14 games and leads all NCAA goalies with a .953 save percentage and 1.21 goals-against average.
Shortridge has matched last season’s win total in nine fewer starts.
His 35 career wins ranks No. 2 among active Alaskans, with Anchorage’s Eric Schierhorn of the University of Minnesota leading the way with 57.
