Gray records 100th career base hit for St. Lawrence softball

Six games in three days was no sweat for Sitka’s Elle Gray, who soaked up the Florida sun and scorched opposing pitchers to help St. Lawrence start the NCAA D3 softball season with a 5-1 record.
The senior shortstop batted 9-for-22 with three doubles and a home run.
She also recorded her 100th career base hit in a 9-2 win over Geneva College in the sixth game.
Gray, of Sitka High fame, had at least one base hit in all six games and scored a total of six runs.
She has a .351 career batting average on 100-for-285 hitting in 98 games.
The Saints will play another stretch of six games in three days starting Wednesday to conclude the team’s Spring Break trip.
