Treder becomes first NAIA All-American in Providence history
Anchorage’s Dajan Treder made school history for the University of Providence as she became the first women’s wrestler to earn All-American honors at the NAIA Invitational in Jamestown, North Dakota.
The senior transfer won the third-place match and finished 3-1 in the tournament, outscoring the opposition 26-11.
She prevailed in the third-place 8-4 over Macy Higa of Eastern Oregon after she won the final six points of the match.
Treder, of West High fame, won 14 of 16 matches on the season.
It was the second time in her college career that she earned national recognition. In 2016, she earned WCWA All-American honors with Jamestown University.
