Ostrander runs to personal record in 1,500 at Clay Invitational
Boise State University track and field star Allie Ostrander of Kenai was one of several runners to secure personal records at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.
She placed ninth out of 143 finishers in the women’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:14.76.
She put herself in contention to receive a bid to the West Preliminary Round.
Her previous PR of 4:15.06 was set in 2018.
The school record in the women’s 1,500 is 4:12.56.
Ostrander was already No. 2 on the all-time school list but now inched closer.
Given her track record, she will probably chase down that record as well.
Not if, but when.
Ostrander, of Kenai High fame, is a 10-time NCAA All-American who owns two national championships and holds seven school records.
