Johnson has pitched more for summer team than college team
Parker Johnson of Anchorage has seen his season as a pitcher come full circle.
He started his sophomore season at Indiana Wesleyan University on the mound before being moved to infielder. Now he’s pitching this summer for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders of the Northwoods League.
Finding a rhythm can be tough for a pitching moving around that much, but Johnson has managed to find success
He started his first game of the summer against Green Bay in 15-2 win, although he threw only two innings.
He hasn’t pitched more than three innings in a game as he is used cautiously.
Johnson, of South High fame, has posted a 1-0 record with a save in 10 appearances.
The 6-foot right-hander has pitched 19.2 innings with in the Northwoods League compared to just 18 innings in college.
