Lasher leads Geraldton Buccs to SBL grand final in Australia

Colter Lasher
Playoff Colter Lasher has been activated in Australia, with the Anchorage playmaker powering the Geraldton Buccaneers to the country’s SBL grand final for the first time in five years.
The second-year forward pumped in 25 points and made a season-high 7-of-10 free throws to propel his team to a 96-86 win over the Lakeside Lightning in Game 3 of the best-of-three semifinal series.
Lasher averaged 24.7 points and shot 58 percent from the floor on 29-of-55 shooting in the series. He had a season-high 28 points in Game 2 and pulled down 11 rebounds in Game 1.
The SBL championship game is Saturday.
Lasher, of Dimond High fame, is averaging 22.6 points and 6.7 rebounds in six playoff games as he looks to lead Geraldton to its first SBL championship since 2000.
Last season, he helped the Buccs claim the No. 1 seed for the playoffs only to get swept in the first round.
No doubt the former Houston Baptist University standout was motivated to atone for last year’s disappointment and his playoff performance is evidence.
Here is a closer look how the 6-foot-7 has lifted his game to another level in the postseason.
