Waite extends three-game points streak for Southern Oregon

Anchorage’s Aislinnn Waite extended her career-best three-game points streak for the Southern Oregon University women’s soccer team.

The senior midfielder assisted on the first goal in a 3-0 win over No. 11 Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California.

Facing nationally ranked competition has brought out the best in the Alaskan.

Waite, of Service High fame, scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute in a 2-1 win over No. 25 Westmont in Santa Barbara, California.

It was the second time she has scored in the season opener, but the first since 2016.

She also assisted on a goal in a 2-1 loss to The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, California.

Waite has seven goals and four assists for 18 career points. A reserve as a freshman, she is now a staple in the lineup by starting 32 of her last 35 games.
