Calloway leads Swiss pro team in scoring at 23 points per game
Juneau’s Jacob Calloway has made a living out of knocking down jumpers.
Now he’s getting paid for it in Switzerland.
His rookie contract probably looks like a bargain as the 6-foot-8 sharpshooter ranks sixth in the Swiss Basketball League in scoring and has Pully Lausanne atop the standings with a 3-0 record.
Calloway, of Thunder Mountain High fame, leads his team with a 23-point average with a high of 29.
He has drained 9-of-14 3-pointers and ranks among the league leaders at 64%.
The 23-year-old skipped his senior season at Southern Utah University and turned pro. He compiled 702 points and 112 3s in 95 games with the Big Sky Conference team.
