Childers bags goal, assist in same game for first time at SOU
Good things happen when super sub Madison Childers of Anchorage comes on for the Southern Oregon University women’s soccer team.
The remarkable reserve ranks among the points-per-minute leaders in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
In a 4-0 win over Northwest Christian, she had a goal and assist in the same game for the first time as a college player.
Overall the freshman forward has racked up three goals and two assists for eight points in 12 games.
Childers, of Dimond High fame, averages only 33 minutes per game compared to other SOU and CCC points leaders who log twice as much playing time.
