Clifford came into senior year with one goal – now he’s got five
Anchorage’s Britton Clifford this year has turned into a bona fide goal scorer for the Whitworth University men’s soccer team.
The senior midfielder has scored four times in 15 games, including three goals in the last six games.
His latest goal came in the 74th minute of a 2-0 win over Pacific in Spokane, Washington. His first shot was saved by a defender, but he was there for the rebound.
Whitworth is also 4-0 when the Alaskan finds the back of the net.
Clifford, of South High fame, now has five goals and three assists for 13 points in 58 career games.
Twenty of his 38 shots have come this year.
