Lasher’s breakout 4th-quarter effort lifts team in Germany
Anchorage’s Colter Lasher went off in the fourth quarter, pumping in 14 of his team-high 16 points as the Bayer Giants beat Artland 93-88 in Germany’s Pro A division.
The 6-foot-7 forward’s big game led his team to its third win in the last four games to bounce back from an 0-2 start.
Lasher, of Dimond High fame, ranks second on Bayer in scoring at 13.5 points in just 20 minutes per game.
He is tied for the team lead with eight 3s to go with 3.0 rebound and 1.0 assists per game. He’s shooting 55 percent from the floor
Lasher came to Germany directly from Australia, where he led the Geraldton Buccaneers to its first State Basketball League championship since 2000.
The former Houston Baptist star scored 23 points in the title game and averaged 18.9 points in 32 games.
