Eagle River’s Cam McDonald scored his first collegiate goal to help No. 13 Providence College earn a 4-2 win over No. 10 Clarkson in Potsdam, New York.

The Friars extended their lead to 3-1 early in the second period when the freshman defenseman beat the Clarkson goaltender with a wrist shot through traffic from the point.

McDonald, of Eagle River High fame, was credited with the game-winner.

The blueliner has blocked four shots in four games and owns a +5 rating.
