At 24, Amu Aukusitino of Anchorage is older than most college football players and so he savors every moment on the field.

That desire and dedication was rewarded in a big way as the Colorado State University-Pueblo senior defensive back returned an interception for a touchdown in a 52-12 victory over Adams State

Aukusitino’s pick-six went for 72 yards and gave the ThunderWolves their record sixth interception on the day.

It was his first touchdown and interception in 17 games with the CSU-Pueblo.

Aukusitino, of Service High fame, has also recorded 22 tackles and two pass breakups.

This was his second career pick-six, joining the 40-yard interception return he had in 2016 with Chabot College. He had four picks and 75 tackles in 10 games that year.

Aukusitino began his college career at Fort Lewis, where he started as a running back before moving to defense. He had 11 tackles in his final game there.
