Anchorage’s Isaiah Saville was just as good as advertised in his debut in goal for the University of Nebraska Omaha.

The freshman goaltender turned aside 14 of 15 shots and carried a shutout into the third period in a 6-1 win over Alabama-Huntsville in NCAA hockey action.

The goal he surrendered came against a power play.

Saville, of West High fame, came to college on the heels of winning the USHL Goaltender of the Year award after he posted 25 wins and four shutouts in 34 games with a 1.90 goals-against average.

He’s also a fifth-round NHL draft pick of the Vegas Golden Knights.
