Stubborn Swayman ranks third in NCAA hockey in total saves
The University of Maine’s Jeremy Swayman of Anchorage is one of the most stubborn goaltenders in NCAA hockey.
The junior netminder turned aside 31 of 32 shots in a 2-1 road win over Vermont in the Hockey East conference.
He ranks third in the country with 202 saves in six games. He’s also ninth with 335 total minutes, signifying his durability and consistency between the pipes.
Swayman has a 4-2 record with career-best 2.20 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage.
