Furlong cracks 100-yard barrier for first time for Dakota State
Dakota State University sophomore Brenner Furlong of Soldotna carried the ball 17 times for a career-high 119 yards in a 30-18 loss to Valley City State in Madison, South Dakota.
This was the first time the running back cracked the 100-yard benchmark in 15 career games.
Furlong, of SoHi fame, has racked up a career-best 245 yards on the ground this season compared to 107 as a freshman.
He owns three career touchdowns, including one on special teams.
His 17 carries were four shy of his career high set in last year’s finale.
