Hausinger’s hat trick matches goal total from previous 57 games
Anchorage’s Christian Hausinger turned in the most prolific performance of his college career with a hat trick to carry the University of Wisconsin-River Falls hockey team to a 3-2 win over visiting Finlandia.
The junior defenseman capped his big night by netting the game-winning goal with just eight seconds left in overtime.
Hausinger, of Dimond High fame, in one game matched his goal total from the previous 57 games combined.
He scored his first goal came on the power play early in the second period. He added his second score late in the second period before adding his third in OT.
