Norwich University senior defenseman Kirsten Watts of Chugiak lit the lamp for her first goal in the second women’s hockey game of the season as the Cadets beat UMass-Boston 5-1 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The even-strength goal came 5:39 into the action to give Norwich a 1-0 lead.

Watts, of Chugiak High fame, has 26 career points in 73 games with seven goals and 19 assists.

Her career plus/minus is +60, which means the Cadets dominate when she’s on the ice.

Watts helped Norwich win the 2018 NCAA D3 national championship.
