Hausinger brothers match each other goal for goal in college

Two of Alaska’s most prolific playmakers this year in college hockey hail from the same family.

Brothers Kenny Hausinger and Christian Hausinger are among the top scorers from the state and on their respective teams.

Both have scored five goals and reached double figures in points.

Kenny, a senior forward at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, has 5-7-12 scoring totals in 14 games with the NCAA D1 squad of Hockey East.

He ranks third on the team in points and owns Lowell’s only short-handed goal.

Kenny, of Dimond High fame, has recorded multiple points in four games.

He is also Alaska’s active scoring leader with 72 points in 119 career games.

Christian, a junior defenseman at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has 5-11-16 scoring totals in 10 games with the NCAA D3 squad.

He has as many points this season as he did last season in 28 games.

Christian, of Dimond High fame, has 45 points in 67 career games.

He has notched a point in nine of 10 games, including one game with three goals and another game with three assists.
