Pili produces 23-point, 10-rebound double-double in USC blowout

Alissa Pili of Anchorage took over in the second half, scoring 19 of her game-high 23 points to lead the USC women’s basketball team to an 80-43 win over Texas Rio Grande Valley in Los Angeles, California.

The 6-foot freshman added 10 rebounds to furnish her third double-double in her tenth game. Her 23 points topped her previous season high of 18.

Pili, of Dimond High fame, sank 9-of-12 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws.

She also had 10 rebounds against Nevada, her fourth double-digit total of the season and third in the last four games.

The former Alaska player of the year leads the Trojans shooting percentage (.512), rebounds per game (7.6) and free-throw attempts (28).

She ranks second in scoring (11.1) and blocked shots (10).
