Tuifua scores TD in NAIA title game as Morningside wins it all

Sione Tuifua of Barrow fulfilled every football player’s dream of scoring a touchdown in the national championship game.
The sophomore started at tight end and hauled in a 6-yard scoring strike at the end of the second quarter as Morningside College beat Marian University 40-38 in the NAIA title game in Grambling, Louisiana.
This was the second straight year Morningside has won the Tom Osborne Trophy.
The team also features junior offensive lineman Otto Ducasse of Anchorage.
Tuifua, of Barrow High fame, scored his second touchdown of the season right before halftime to give Morningside a 21-7 lead.

He played in all 14 games as the Mustangs finished 14-0.
Tuifua furnished six catches for 46 yards. For his career he has 9-64-3 totals in 22 career games.
Ducasse, of Bartlett High fame, played in 11 of 14 games this season.
