Bailey bags season-high 13 points, including huge 3-pointer late
Jeremiah Bailey of Fairbanks poured in a season-high 13 points and hit a late 3-pointer for the University of the Pacific that made things interesting at the end of an 84-80 loss to Santa Clara in the West Coast Conference.
Bailey pulled Pacific within 82-80 with five seconds to go in the game after drilling a 3-pointer and getting fouled. He missed the free throw for a chance at a rare four-point play.
Bailey, of Monroe Catholic High fame, scored more points in this game than he had in the previous six games put together.
The 6-foot-6 junior added six rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes coming off the bench.
Bailey has now reached double figures six times in 53 career games. His career high is 22.
