Palmer’s Alex Carlton inside he final minute assisted on the go-ahead bucket and drained two clutch free throws as North Idaho College rallied to beat Big Bend 67-62 in NWAC women’s basketball.
With her team down 62-60, Carlton assisted on Sydnie Peterson’s 3-pointer with 38 seconds to go to put the Cardinals ahead for good.
Carlton, of Colony High fame, sank two free throws with 6 seconds left to ice the win.
She finished with 10 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Carlton also played all 40 minutes.
